Voice-Call System Installation Manual


Tech Works Voice-Call is a Modular, Programmable Communication System designed for simple yet sophisticated voice communication with maximum flexibility. It is capable of monitoring a wide variety of contact closure inputs and sending both a visual call confirmation to the call origination as well as to telephone and/or computer equipment. The integral voice channel allows two-way voice communications from the operator Telephone Console to an intercom station associated with the call point. Voice Call is made up of a collection of small modular components that can be placed conveniently to the call or control function they support. Network communication allows devices to communicate over long distances and various media. There is no central control or main control component. The 2508 provides contact closure monitoring of up to 8 inputs and remote call indicator for up to 8 associated outputs. 2528 adds voice and selection of up to 8 speakers to 8 inputs and outputs. 2590 provides a telephone and data interface to a Telephone Console, PBX, or computer interface. The components communication over a 3 pair buss wiring. Each component uses a unique network address to identify itself to the other system components. All programming and configuration is done with a computer running a system utility to talk to the network. Once everything is programmed the computer can be removed and everything functions as programmed.
