Welcome to the Belvidere Fire Department web site. Our community of 25,585 is located in Boone County Illinois. Boone County is currently one of the fastest growing counties in the state. These are challenging and exciting times as we look to the future of our department with a conviction and resolve to provide our citizens with an outstanding Fire/Rescue service.

Our department has a proud history that began back in 1886. I have the utmost respect for those firefighters of the past as well as those of the present. As the years go by, one constant remains, the courage and dedication of our firefighters as they put their life on the line for the protection of all.
