Rental Properties

According to Wisconsin State Statutes, unpaid water and sewer charges incurred by renters, stay with the property, become a lien against the property, and are the responsibility of the homeowner. These unpaid charges will be placed once a year on the tax roll for collection along with a ten percent surcharge. Before any amount is placed on the tax roll for collection, you will be notified in writing (usually in November).
